Privacy Policy

TCG Ledger ("we," "us") is a collection-tracking tool for trading card games. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled. If you have questions, contact contact@tcgledger.nl.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and information generated by using the app:

• Account information: your email address and password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password in plain text.
• Profile information: an optional first name and date of birth (kept private — only you can see these), and a public username, which is how other users find and friend or follow you.
• Collection data: details about the cards and sealed products you add — name, set, condition, grading company and grade, certification number, quantity, and price paid — along with photos you take or upload of them.
• Settings: your preferred currency, preferred marketplace, and notification preferences.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, we keep your subscription tier and status and a customer/subscription reference ID from our payment processor, Stripe — enough to know what you're subscribed to and to let you manage it. We never see or store your full card number (see "Payment processing" below).
• Usage data: basic technical information (like request logs) generated automatically by using the app, used only for debugging and abuse prevention.

How we use your information

• To operate your account and show you your own collection, inventory, and portfolio value.
• To identify cards and sealed products from the photos you provide, using Anthropic's Claude API. Photos sent for identification are used only for that purpose.
• To fetch and display current market pricing for the items you own, from third-party pricing sources (see below).
• To power optional social features — friends, follows, and public collections or inventories — which only show information you've explicitly chosen to make visible (see "Your choices" below).
• To generate marketplace-ready export files (e.g. eBay or Cardmarket listing CSVs and photos) when you choose to export a selection for sale.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services we use

TCG Ledger relies on a small number of third-party services to function:

• Supabase — authentication and database/file storage for your account and collection data.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — identifies cards and sealed products from photos you submit.
• Pricing data providers (including sources covering TCGPlayer and Cardmarket listings) — supply the market pricing shown in the app. Only card/product identifiers are sent to these sources, not your personal information.
• Stripe — processes payment for paid subscription plans. See "Payment processing" below.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and terms.

Payment processing

Paid subscription plans are billed through Stripe, which supports both card and PayPal payments. When you subscribe, your payment details are entered directly into Stripe's own secure checkout — they go straight to Stripe, never through our servers, and we never see or store your full card number.

We share the minimum needed to bill you: your email address and an internal account identifier, so Stripe can link a subscription to your account. In return, Stripe tells us your subscription tier, status, and renewal date, which is what "Billing information" above refers to. If a subscription lapses or a payment fails, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan rather than being left in a paid state indefinitely.

You can view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel anytime from the app's billing management screen, which opens Stripe's own self-service billing portal. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Collections are private by default. You can mark a collection public, which makes it visible to your followers and friends — never to the general public.
• Public inventory is off by default, and only available once your inventory value reaches the app's "Power Seller" tier or above. If enabled, it shows an aggregate value and item count to other signed-in users who look up your username — never your individual cards or photos.
• Your first name and date of birth are always private. Your username is always public, since it's how friends and followers find you.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email contact@tcgledger.nl from the address on your account and we'll process the request.

Children's privacy

TCG Ledger is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers using industry-standard security practices. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TCG Ledger after a change means you accept the updated policy.
